seat for '81 RH

Hi,
Does anyone know if the XS1100 special seat will fit onto a '81 RH model? Also does anyone have one good condition they would like to sell?

the only seats that fit rhs are rh or sport.in the us you could use a 1981lh midnight special seat.this is a king queen style.one of the motorcycle wreckers in brisbane make new fiberglass bases for about $110.00aus

If I get a base made up, do I have to get someone who can attach the pading and the leather on top. Is this rigt?

Hi,
I don't think my seat is standard. All of the other seats I have seen don't have a level base where as mine does. The other seats run parallel with the side covers where as mine runs parallel with the frame. It looks a little silly. Do you have any photos of your 81 RH's I could see so I can compare?

RH/lh SEAT BASE

the rh and midnight special have a large bump in the base just after the battery.this is to make way for the cdi pack.take the cdi pack off and see if the seat fits.the 1981 h has the cdi on the back of the mudgard.it has a flat base.you can ring me on 0411523020 2.30pm till midnigt mon-thurs
