  • Confused

I seem to be getting close to getting my bike back together, but am stumped on this one. Despite bagging and labeling all of the parts during disassemble I now have a hanger that does not seem like it should be where it is. It is attached to the rear bolt of the rear master cylinder, and it looks right the way it is attached. However, it seems like an odd spot for it. I have not a clue what I am supposed to hang on it, and I cannot find it on any fiche. I looked at a ton of pictures on this site and I do not see it on any other bike. Can someone please tell me what it is for?

It goes a little further to the rear, just inside the right shock to restrain the brake line between the master cylinder and the caliper. I'll grab a photo in a minute.

          Photo shows for me.

That bracket bolts on the caliper bracket near the top front (on the special anyway).

Try it again, Dave. I have resized the image way down from what it was originally. That might help.
