Cleaned the carbs on my '79 xs 11, and bench synched them, idles fine, accelerates fine, but when decelerating it sounds like it does when I am running out of gas. but doesn't quit running. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, 'Dog

If you didn't do a FULL gauge sync, that is probably the problem. My guess is you have one or more carbs trying to drag down the rest as you de-accel. Until you have done the sync, pilot adjust and re-sync it will not run quite as it should.Ray Matteis

Thanks DR, this is about the fourth time I have done a bench synch with the bread tie, have never had this problem before, went back over the settings, and the tie had a little friction/drag on it all pretty close, but I did the 1 1/4 setting on the idle mix screws, per manual, but may try opening up the mix a little more, but when I clean my carbs I take everything out except the butterflys, but they may have finally worn out as has happened to several on here before. Just hate to replace the butterfly seals, unless it is absolutely necessary. Thanks again Later 'Dog
