A minor, but concerning new Gremlin has decided to show its face in my '78 XS. Occasionally (10%ish) after the engine is stalled out, or the kill switch is used, The starter refuses to work. No click of the solenoid, as if the button wasnt pushed at all.
I would suspect a bad starter button, however it does not happen when the key is used to shut the engine off. Usaully rapping on the gas tank, the sidecovers, and fiddling with the kill switch somehow fixes it.
So.... does anyone have some super observant hints for me? I am prepared to spend all winter getting to know my wireing harness with a multimeter if need be, but just hoping someone else has had similar problems.
Thanks in advance.
