        new 1100

800 wouldn't be bad if it runs ok, all parts are there and the trany is in good shape. The color is definitely not stock. Looking at the tank, it's not a special. What about that cool back rest (sissy bar)....can you say....The 70's? I'de see if you could get it for around 500 bills. Good luck and welcome to the ranks.

Looks like it has Special forks and bars. The gauges are standard as is the fuel tank. The side covers appear to be for a standard. If you like that style of seat, you will find it very comfortable. Looks nice. Ask lots of questions of the seller and remember it will always need some repairs or upgrades when dealing on it. Good luck and hope you make a good buy

            rock on..... yep the 70s...

he was asking 1000$ obo... so he might not go for 500$ although that would be lots better on my end... will try though... ill be happy with 750$ or so..

have yet to see it in person but under impression its been babied.. least last several yrs (older owner)

              new bike

Sounds good Frankz.............when I bought mine the kid told me...."Oh yeah...its been runnung not to long ago".......the carbs weren't hooked up...no key for tank, found out after I got it runnen the first and second gear situation was shot. So, get them to start it and run it through the gears at least. It's a great bike....but needs looken after!

                Hey Frankz,

It does look to be in good condition, but it IS a frankenbike, but your name is perfect for that!

Yep, Special forks, and also PIPES...in front of the rear axle and angled up a bit vs. flatter and reaching beyond the axle.

Again, many folks have mixed and matched parts....some AFTER a wreck , others because they wanted the longer cruising range of the larger Standard gas tank vs. the Special.

Check out the BORN ON Date on the tires...if the #'s in the little circle are
##05, or earlier/older...ie ##04, then that's another price point because they will be 5+ year old tires...aged, dry and such. IF they are ##06, 07, etc. then they could still have year or so on them depending on tread depth.

Also looks like a bit of oil/dirt on the upper fork slider just below the dust cap...could be an indication of weeping fork seals....another price point!

Hope you get the price you're looking to pay!

Nice looking bike; better than many I've seen around here for that kind of money.

Looks to be a '78-79 standard with special bits added on. Be aware that the 'line' between the '78 and '79 models can be 'blurred', as I've seen '79s that are equipped as '78s (tube wheels, non-halogen headlight).

                  Good luck!
