  • Considering fairing mounted mirrors

    Hey Guys:

Did a search could not find much info on them.
Only the pic of Pat Kelly's and that he likes them.
I have the Yamaha/Vetter Fairing I think that was used on the G's and H's
With stock F bars. They hit the windshield when I go lock to lock.
I do not want to go to a pull back bar.

So have any of you had experiance with fairing mounted mirrors?
    To a Vetter Fairing?

The thing I like about the mirrors being up high and forward is the visability in them. My line-of-sight dosen't have to change much to look at them and I can see nearly beside me.

On the fairing is there a special mounting requirement?
I mean to suport the mirror.
Whats the brand and model mirror you used?

I don't remember the brand. They were universal mount mirrors I saw at a cycle shop. I have them attached wit two (well, 4) of the windshield mount screws. Just happen to fit there.
I'm considering trying to find some that attach to the inside of the fairing just above the storage compartment doors. Similar to the Honda ST1300.

MAXIMAN had his mirrors mounted on his Vetter fairing...kinda looks like the mirrors came off a Venture Royale...which also has their mirrors mounted similarly.
