  • Fairing may have pushed my jetting over the edge

I've been running my bike since march after seeing a color tune on the two outside cylinders I can see why my bike pops like a pop corn maker and Idles like well you know not too good
Since I put the fairing on the bike and, it got hot it wouldn't want to run unless it was on the main jet circuit. on cooler days it would be alright but not great.
Well the color tune showed a light blue and white.
Yesterday I was tring to get the bike to idle so I started with the mixture screws at 4 turns out and backed them out from there till it would idle some.
I'm going go up one size on a pilot jet and one more on the main.
Some where I read one size on the pilot jet is like 2 turns out on the screw.
    Has that been your experiance?
Well I just wanted to run it by you guys.
    BTW Mains are 140's
    Filter KN in stock box
Pipes which is what I think is causing my problem open slash cuts.

I don't see the fairing doing all that much for the jetting. you probably started out VERY LEAN due to no back pressure. If you are four turns out, you DO need bigger pilot jets. If it runs well on the mains, and a chop test reading of the plugs look good, start with one size up of JUST the pilots. do some testing, and then go from there. That is the easy way to do things, ONE CHANGE at a time.

      http://www.mikesxs.net/products-39.html#products

      Part #48-0607
Is this the correct pilot jet for an F it has the stock 42.5 pilot jet so I will be going to 45.

Yes, they're 30/96 style jets, size #45, one size larger than O.E.M.
