Turnout mufflers
Hi There!
I installed a MAC 4 into 2 exhaust with turn-out mufflers on my xs 1100 sf, sounds great to me and "Barks'' nice, my wife can hear me a long ways down the road.
I bought the pipes from www.accwhse.com, cost was about $263.- plus shipping.Evert

mufflers
the Mongrel came with slip on turn outs (unk brand) on it, its a bit throatier than the stock ones on Rusty, but seem to work jsut great..
I have so many issues im not sure if i need to rejet for them or just for age.. and my weight..

Anyway I used a set of standard headers and put Harley Sportster mufflers on them. I lost the cross over but I don't think that's a big deal. It has a nice sound without being too loud. I also have pair of Harley bagger mufflers that look nearly unused that I may install later if I decide I want it a little quieter.

mongrel
Mine I found out after buying it for $600 at a church auction,
it is a 79sf with a 78 standard frame, and some who knows upper forks, (the lowers are a 79sf)...
all sorts of goofy things here...
even went thru the pickup wire thing last summer while returning form Deuce in Canada... that last 100 miles on 1 or 2 cylinders.. in the dark rain.. not the funnest thing in town..jeff "Wags"
