  • She runs!!!

Hey guys: Been seeking help for a few days mostly about carb rebuild on this 81 Special that has been sitting for 12 or so years. Well I got the fuel hooked up with a test tank today and it started right up with only a couple of cranks. "No runs, no drips, no errors." Idles smooth and revs with no problems. Thanks for your help. Now I have to get started on the brakes before I can test ride her.

Now another question. I'm used to water cooled engines so I need to know how long I can idle this engine without it overheating and what is "normal" engine temperature??

Put a fan in front of it (something like a box fan, not a little desk fan ) I have had it idleing for like 30 min and havent found any problems..yet
