Does it realy make that much defference to put solid mounts on the motor, got the motor out of the bike that i am going to put in another bike and if I was to change the mounts, now would be the time to do it, the stock ruber mounts look to be in good shape.

I've never gone rigid mounts on a bike or car, but I have done solid rubber motor mounts versus grease filled rubber mounts. BIG difference in vibration. I imagine the solid mounts will be quite noticeable.Corey J. Bennett

The PO put aluminum motor mounts on my 1978 and IMO they do make a difference but still as smooth as the rubber motor mounts. I haven't noticed any difference in vibration.Last edited by mstic2000; 07-01-2010, 09:50 PM.

While I don't think solid mounts would be a great idea, I can see urethane as an improvement...
