  • Where does this black wire go?

I am trying to make my starter button work. I have the wiring for a 1979 Special. It has four wires - two R/W, one L/W and one black. My current wiring, 1979 Standard, has onyl three wires - two R/W and One L/W. Where does the black wire attach ionside the right hand switch assembly? It has an eye on the end, so it attaches with a screw somewhere. Does anyone have a picture of where this goes?

    Thanks.

Pick a screw. Or don't. The switch will ground through the handlebar.

My poor little camera will just not get a good photo of it. However, the black wire should have a small wire connector with a circular end to it. The screw that mounts the starter button to the switch housing goes through it, then through the starter button frame and into the housing.

When yu push the starter button it completes a connection from the center button that the L/W wire mounts to to the frame of the starter button, the black wire completes the ground. Seems like they had to much issue with the earlier 3 wire switches and having to ground to the handlebars that they added this ground wire.
