RH Handlebar Control Replacement

Hello,
I had a question regarding replacing the Handlebar controls (Right Hand) on my bike. I have been looking for a replacement unit, was wondering if I could use a different model than the standard issue for the bike?

I apologize if this is a blatantly obvious question. I am very new to motorcycle repair and maintenance

Right hand Control Replacement

Has anyone used this replacement? I've had 2 starter buttons fall out on me and this seems like a good option.

Well, if it fits the 7/8" bars, anything can be made to work if you can fingure out the wiring nest. However, bear in mind that the right handlebar switch on the XS11 also houses the throttle linkage so it would be pretty tough to get all that to work out.

I have a spare right side control.
