  • mns bars or standard?

i've read a few complaints about the buckhorn bars, but i haven't ridden the bike yet to know. i have a 79 standard for parts. since i'm in the middle of resurrecting the beast, and i want to go to the standard brake set up, should i switch out the bars also? i'm 5'9, will the standard bars have enough setback? thanks!

Maybe......maybe not, depends on your preferred riding position.

I'm 5'11", and have both the standard AND a MNS. I LIKE the MNS for cruising, and the standard with bar-backs to pull the bars a little closer too me. All you can do is go to a shop that has a LOT of bars, and just try them. Pick a FEW that seem to fit, and then go try them while sitting on your bike. Everyone is different, and bars are VERY personal.
