  • Seat for XS650 = XS1100?

Thinking about purchasing a seat coming off a late 70's XS650 for my 1978 XS1100 standard... Is this gonna work boys?

    Thanks and regards,

    Andrew

no, not unless you rip it off the pan and mount it to your old xs11 pan

      Hi Andrew,
not unless you are prepared to cut & weld a lot.
The XS650 seat is a tad smaller than an XS11 seat for a start.
Then you'd need to cut off the XS650 frame's side hinge points and latch mechanism and weld them to your XS11 frame.
Admittedly a hinge & latch is a better deal than poking under the seat with a 14mm socket, extender & ratchet to find those hidden seat bolts.
But it ain't worth the hassle.
