    Hi there,
just got my newly painted Standard tank back on

and this shows the complete rig with the repainted tank, MikesXS pods, blacked-out pipes and Triumph mufflers.

Someone asked how my aftermarket coils were held on

CRS kicked in when I replied, the coils are Dynas not Accels and the brackets are cut from 1" x 1" x 1/8" angle iron, not bent from sheet metal.

That tank looks real sharp, Fred. I like your Triumph mufflers too.

        Hey Fred,
        The paint looks really good,
now you'll have to get to polishing the engine.

I like the look of the standard tank way better than the Special tank on your rig.
                      It looks sharp.

Hi Nate and others who liked the paint job,
it's actually pretty poor up close. Straight out the gun and kinda orange peely. The camera works wonders and it does look fine from 3 feet away.
The need to re-paint gave me the opportunity to try the pinstripe job I chickened out on doing the last time and to overcome my fear of clearcoating. Using two 500Watt halogen lights let me actually see the critical stage between when the clearcoat is shiny and when it's too thick and curtains.

Cool bike, I've always wanted a side car, but the cost has always be a stopper for me. How does SGI plate it Fred? Just like a single motorcycle?
Oh, the emblems on the tank look great, did you redo them or buy some?

                              Hi Yozzie,
used sidecars are not easy to find in Saskatoon and the asking price seems to reflect that. If you want to look for one, they sometimes show up on Kijiji. That's where my son found his Spirit Eagle sidecar. Mid '70s with grass growing in the carpet from being in the seller's back yard for a decade. Eric paid a grand for it. Ask the search button for "sidecar attachment" to see it.
BTW, as we are in the same city, if you do want to attach a sidecar I would be pleased to help. After completing attachment #4 I'm almost good at it.
Like most North American jurisdictions SGI treats a sidecar as an accessory, like hard bags or a fairing.
Certainly you don't get the 50% discount I used to get back in the UK in the 1960s.
The Emblems are the XS650 ones from MikesXS.
They are slightly smaller than genuine XS11 emblems and you need to drill & tap another M3 hole
in the support plate to match the smaller distance between the attachment screws.
You can just about see the edge of the badge depression if you look close but it don't notice from 3 feet away.
