          Hi Steve,
          that'd be "not quite as well".
          7/8" = 22.2mm not 22mm and while that 0.2mm difference don't seem like much, try sanding down the end of a 7/8" handlebar to fit a BMW's 20mm twistgrip.
          So if you are borrowing a 7/8"a/f socket be sure it's a 6-point, eh?

            Ah, c'mon Fred... the difference is only .009" ; a lot of sockets don't have tolerances that good...
