carb number one still wont let in any fuel during idle. I've triple cleaned all of them, synced and colortuned too. went to color tune and saw that #1 wasn't burning at all. not sure why? Ideas anyone?

Check to see if the tip of the idle mixture screw is broken off and stuck in the carb body.

Still got the stock coils? If you're not seeing anything on the colortune, it's most likely the carbs or the ignition. Many times ignition coil problems will do a pretty good imitation of a carb problem. Might want to test your primary and secondary resistances on the coils. Might want to check your pickup coil wires too. JAT
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

JAT, there are three small little holes into the throat of the carb right about where the butterfly hits when it closes. When you spray carb cleaner into the hole the slow jet screws into, the carb cleaner should bubble up through those three holes. If it does not, then your pilot circuit is not clear.

My carbs bedeviled me for weeks until I saw a post by Topcat that talked about those damn little holes. Once I got them clean, all was well.

That may or may not be your problem, but it is one more place to look.

I know the electrical is alright cause the coils have been replaced and whn I had the colortune in I could see a nice bright fat spark but other than that it was dark in there. I'll check the tiny holes you mentioned. gives me a place to work from.

            carb bowl tiny jet

            Hi ,

I was bedevilled by the same issue, but it amounted to the bowl jet being blocked, carb spray must go thru that to get into the pilot system.
