Just went down and picked the NA5904 bearings up.

Three or four hours in the Evapo-Rust and they should be ready to go. Little brushing with a wire brush and they should look almost new!

C'mon' you didn't start belivin it did you?

Brand new in the box. I was given a quote of a few cents under $35.00 and with the freight charges they are right at $38.

I am going to put them in the small Flat Rate box form USPS and that is $4.95.

That brings the grand total to $42.95. Hope everyone is OK with that.

Think it might be more of a preventative measure, 'cause you just can't just run out and buy one if you need it. I've never had one fail before, knock. Got one with 90K+ on it now, I have regreased it several times though.

Got'cha...how many people have had it fail, or is it more of a preventative measure?

The left rear on mine failed along with all the other wheel bearings and the speedometer drive gears. The PO thought that because the XS has a snorkel it's a submarine so he flood-washed it then hit it with a pressure washer before storing it for the better part of a decade.

It's a good spare to have, I guess. I got one from Randy when he bought a batch a couple of yrs back. I have never had one fail though.
