I wonder if this would stand up in court. Judge , no way I was doing that speed my speedo only goes up to 70 kph. I took it off today and the square hole the cable fits into is rounded. It will register up to 70 kph but after that it just slips. Anyone ever changed out that fitting? If it's impossible, anyonbe parting out a 79 special and has one I can get.

I've got all the "internals" for a 79 special 160 speedo, but the stupid spring is all F-ed up in a big knot. Not sure if you can replace just the piece you need or not but PM me if your interested in the parts, I can send you just what you need, or all the parts I've got, up to you.1979 xs1100 Special -
