The feeling of accomplishment and pride in doing this has been, for me, the best part of the whole thing. To get a first-class result is icing on the cake.

    Enjoy your cake! Great job!

Hey Mack: The bike looks fantastic. Glad it all worked out for you with still a ridin season left. I think the addtional backrest-carrier fits the bike great. You just can't beat a well done up black special. - Dan

beautiful, wish my SF looked that good. Does that back rest slide forward so the driver can use it? I've seen racks like that around but could never tell if it was the kind that could slide forward or not.

          Thanx

Thanx for all the replies and compliments, I certainly have a much better understanding of these bikes than before I started. Really well designed for the most part. The little back rest doesn't slide forward for the pilot to use. That was just to keep the wifes butt from sliding off on quick starts etc. Compression numbers are still real low so I'm not going to go far or fast until they either come up or I tear it down again and do the rings. Can you still get rings for this dude? Still not happy with the feel of the front brake but I got a speed bleeder yesterday so I'll try that. Thanx again people for all the help and sorry about the stupid questions at times.
