Hi Sgriger,
I'm not sure if it's a straight bolt-on or if it takes some fiddling to attach them but yes, they will work.
Except the Special's tach don't have a gas gauge, it has a red "low fuel" warning light. This light needs the Special's thermistor sending unit to be installed in the Standard's tank or it won't work. AND you must put it in backwards or it'll be upside down and then it'll only give you a 1/2-mile warning of the reserve running dry.
