  • Rear Signal Flasher Damper

I am replacing my rear signal flasher dampers. The hole in the new ones is square (like those pictured on the XS part finder site. When I put them on they do not conform to the shape of the collar. Does anybody know how to remedy this?

I've never seen them with the "H" shaped collar. Maybe you could machine the collar down so it's square like they are supposed to be?

The hole is square because the stem, on the stock signal arm is square. It keeps the signal light from rotationg on it's own.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

        Hi Dave,
buy the square collars from MikesXS or file your weirdies square to fit the rubber things or put the rubber things in the deep-freeze overnight then Dremel the square holes H-shaped real quick before the rubber thaws out.

Those 'H' shaped collars are wrong, file them down, don't cut your rubber.
          Here's how they should look...

Thanks guys! After reading the responses I figured out that I was "PO'd" I noticed that the front signals had the right collars (or close) to what I was missing for the rear. As I had an extra set of headlight ears I took the extra collars and installed the rear signals Thanks again for all of the help

Thanks everyone! I went up and worked on my bike this week. You were right about me having the wrong collars. I used the extras I had for the front and they worked great!
