On the road, Headlight screwed up, need ideas

    Well, I have a circuit tester thats called a "Power Probe" which hooks directly to the battery, or a cigarette lighter, and has a pigtail that is a good ground, the probe will detect power or ground and has a switch that supplies either power or ground for testing. Both filaments work in the headlight bulb. Tht has been confirmed.

    However, it doesn't show voltage amount, only that there is voltage present. I will check the ground again, that could very well be it.

    The problem started somewhere in West Virginia. I haven't done much riding at night, so it hasn't been a big deal. However, I may be in the saddle for a few hours at night, and it would be nice to see.

      Found the problem. Had to use the highly technical "wiggle test" to find a bad connection at the connector on the handle bar switch harness, under the tank. the blue/yellow wire was burnt at the connector. I bypassed it with a weather proof butt splice and all is good again.
