  • Hesitates when cold

I tried doing a search to locate the answer to my problem but didnt find anything that really fit. My situation is that when I pull the choke out and start it cold it fires up and idles just fine. I will let it idle a bit push the choke back in and then take off. From first gear it really hesitates and kinda bogs down than it suddenly comes to life and rpms and speed increase, it will do it a little bit in 2nd as well. Now once it gets good and warm this all dissapears and will take off from a stop in first gear just perfectly fine. So, is this just ther nature of the beast I just need to give it a little bit more idle time? Thanks.

This is normal, and it needs to warm up more.

Also, there are two positions on the choke, full and half then off. I use full to start it, then once it idles up push in to half and then ride. After a mile or two of riding I push it to off.

They're just like a woman, cold blooded and need to be coaxed into life. Once warmed up they're very difficult to get off
