I have the ign. switch torn down to the point of removing the cylinder. I can put the key in and it drops down about 1/2" or so, but won't go out all the way.
What am I missing on getting that out?

I got it. When you look at the bottom of the cylinder, there is a tab sticking out just a bit, You have to use something to push it into the cylinder and it slides out the top. Helps to have the key in the switch.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
