headlight compatibility

Just want to let others know so they don't make the same mistake I did. The headlight bucket off of an xs650 does not fit an 1100 (the mounting bracket on the bottom is too far left). The bulb/lens may fit, I don't know. Also the headlight stay is not the same either. Hope this helps someone.

Hi Ike,
it's just that the bucket's anti-tilt tab in a different place so that neither the XS11 nor the XS650 slotted arm that bolts to it will work.
Anyone with a good pair of tinsnips could cut'n'bend a custom arm to fix that?
