What can I use to clean my K&N re-useable filter besides K&N air filter cleaner? Sea Foam? It says dont use compressed air.

There are lots of air filter cleaner products. I have heard of some using warm water and a mild soap, with a soft brush.

      Hi Brad,
give it a ride on the top shelf of the dishwasher?
Don't get caught doing this. Depending on your domestic circumstances, getting caught could have mild to serious repercussions.

          Bought the kit

I bought the K & N Air Filter Recharge kit, followed the directions. Just a little hint, after you've spent an hour of your life cleaning, use a heat gun to soften the edges of the filter to get it back on properly. Found that out 30 minuets into trying to put it back together, 29 minuets later than I should have.

That's funny,I think it took me 5 to figure it wasn't going back on. I sat mine out in a 120 degree greenhouse for an hour. Popped right on. You were still 35 min. ahead of me.
