    My baby is nearly ready

Hi guys, i have been rebuilding a yamaha xs 1100 rh since 2007 swopped my mountain bike for the beast. I have been in the back ground picking everyones brain, learned so much from the forums and tech tips i beleive i would still be puzzeled was it not for the site. Lost my pics of the restoration during a burgulary a few months back. Anyway it has to wait know until the end of the soccer world cup south africa. I must say that i proberly could have finished it a year ago, but the pavilion (driver) keeps a strong hold on the purse strings. Thanks once again for a great source of information.

If you have been watchin close, the first thing you hear after everyones first post is " WHERE ARE THE PICTURES OF YOUR BIKE?"

I see you lost the pictures of the rehab but post some current ones...

      Hi Gerald.

I'm right with you on that one, for the first time since 1982 our team has qualified for the world cup and while I'm not a die hard soccer fan i'll be right there (Sky TV) cheering them on. Like all Kiwi's I'm into any sport where we theres a chance of beating Aussie and South Africa.

Looking forward to seeing your bike.

We'll see. Keep your eye on the Super 14 Semi's. The Stormers are gonna hammer the Warratah's, Just like we did to the Brumbies, The Crusaders will beat the Bull's and then beat the Stormers and win the Super 14 Title, yet again. 7 times now, it's getting boring.

You buggers thought you'd get an advantage for your national team by stealing Robbie Deans, the Crusaders coach. So far he's done a pretty good job of sabotaging the Wallabies eh.

Sorry Gerald, didnt mean to hijack your thread but you understand the whole Tri Nations rivallry thing eh ? Cant let those Aussies get the upper hand

You trying to tell me something

Dont really follow the Tahs, although do agree quite likely they will get beaten. Grew up on the divide line between mobile wrestling and aerial ping pong. Since when has being outnumbered worried me. pity you didn't catch the dog in the act, no paperwork.

                        What????

Seppo's, Wallabies, Brimbies, Tahs, Blacks, Springboks, Super14 semis??????????????????? I think I live on a different planet,,,What are these things??? Where are the pics?????????????????? Anyway, good luck in the World Cup,,,it would be nice to see some new teams in the later rounds except the usual. Anybody but Brazil or England or Argentina or Spain or France or Italy. Its time for the Americans to get their stuff together, maybe even a Down Under Team.

Seppo's = Septic tanks = Yanks, a lot of Strine, the official Australian language (Google It), comes from Cockney rhyming slang. Plate of meat = feet, china plate = mate, apples and pears = stares, trouble and strife = wife, cheese and kisses = missus. etc;. Wallabies, Tahs (Waratahs) Blacks (All Blacks, NZ national Rugby team) Springboks (Boks, South African national rugby team) Super 14s is a rugby competition between South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Which New Zealand (The Crusaders) has won the most times.

14 Teams from the three countries battle it out in a round robin series, each team playing every other team once. Usually with 6 or 7 home games and 6 or 7 away games, depending on the draw. 91 games over 14 weeks culminating in two semi finals with the top 4, points scoring teams and a grand final hosted in the top points team's home country. This year it's in South Africa and, I'm sorry Gerald but were gonna win.

Its the greatest competition in world rugby and is televised live to 40 or so countries round the world.

The All Blacks, Wallabies and Springbok teams dont play in this competition but many of the players do. These three teams are our respective national rugby teams and play test matches against each other and many other national teams from around the world, England, Wales, France, Argentina etc. We host the Rugby World Cup here in NZ next year and thats when all the lesser know national teams come out of the woodwork. USA even has a team in that competition.

                              Let the facts speak

Record 14 wins over New Zealand for SA Super 14 franchises
                              09/05/2010
The Vodacom Bullsโ€™ 40-35 victory over the Crusaders in Pretoria on Friday not only secured them a home semi-final in the 2010 competition, but it also ensured that South African Vodacom Super 14 franchises set a new record of 14 league game wins over New Zealand opposition in Super Rugby.
