  • Would this work?

    Hey fella's,

I've been having wiring problems with my turn signals on my 79 special, anyone know if these would be compatible?

    Thanks!

You'd have to modify the harness connector as the 79s don't have the hazard warning ciruit.

You can get a new replacement off Mikesxs for $46. I'm pretty sure they're compatible. They look the same.

If you go to LED lights, which is a good idea to save power use an electric flasher as LED's do not create enough heat to make the stock flasher work. Some use a load thing but it defeats the whole purpose of gong LED to save more power that can be used toward the headlight.

If you put an electric flasher in, just be aware that your self cancelling feature will no longer work...if it works in the first place, as it requires the full load to operate properly. The built in flasher is better than electric flashers that cancel automatically after a set time period because it takes your speed and distance traveled into account as well as time, so it won't turn off at the stoplight.
