It's not the computer that's screwing up,
Sounds like that statement I made is wrong then.. lol.

The gauges on the XJ are really easy to disassemble. I would dive in there and check things out. You may see something simple that will let them work while you look for an alternative. Worst case scenario.. you aren't going to tear anything up?? lol.

Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

I'll probably open them up some time this week/weekend and see if I can find anything blatant. It doesn't really bother me that the thing is not working, I'd just like to get rid of it all together. But for the sake of curiosity, I'm gonna have to take a look Just out of morbid curiosity and sheer self detriment, how much do these things go for if I wanted to replace it ?

        ??? lol.

Depends on the person. I have seen nice ones go for over $100, and I've given next to nothing for a nice one. If the computer was messed up on one, I don't think you could GIVE it to me.. Of course, I have several spares.

I think in the long run I'd be happier with a nice set of gauges and I'll toss this thing in my Parts box just in case. Looks like another item to add to my off-season project list !
