Hey Tony. Now get started on some for the Special. It looks like the Special would be a lot harder.

          Update

I want to measure it a couple more times and pull and reinstall the wheel but it seems the caliper on one side sits in a little closer than the other. Right now it's looking like 1.8mm off the bracket will give a good compromise for both left and right clearance.

This pix are more dial up friendly that the last ones I posted.

          Here's the left side.

          And the right...

Here's my 1/2" thick brackets on the outside and the 3/8" Australian ones on the inside.

I had the Australian machined I wouldn't have to put spacer rings behind the disks and as I mentioned before I had to much taken off.

Here's another pic of them side by side.

I'm going to double, triple and quad check my figures before I send these brackets out to be milled...

Those are beautiful! I would totally be interested in a set of those depending on how light my wallet is at the time!

So these work with the stock disks? Will they also work with some sort of aftermarket replacements as well? And will they work with the stock MC or will we need to swap that out to run these? I'm thinking that quad pistons are gonna take more fluid to operate?

They will work with original XS11 rotors and that's why I'm being so picky about getting the spacing just right. Our old bikes take a 7mm thick rotor when all the new bikes have 5mm thick disks. They should work fine with any disk the same diameter as stock. The brackets would have to be spaced out further to use R1 or other larger diameter disks but that shouldn't be hard at all to do.

I'm using a Mikes XS master cylinder but I could have just as well kept the stock one. As always braided stainless lines are worth the money but not required.

I worked on it more tonight and the left - right clearance problem is now obvious. The left fork leg has it's distance set by the way the axle tightens up on the spacers but the left leg doesn't have a set space for the cap to clamp down on. It seems my forks were bowed out about .7mm from the fork brace and that's why I was having trouble with the clearance. I swapped out the front tire from the time I did my first measurements and I wasn't taking into account that the spacing could be different from left to right.

Now that's sorted out, 1.7mm will have to be milled off the brackets to get proper clearance.

I'm going to send the caliper brackets out to be milled and I'm going to pull the fork brace to see if it can be fixed. If I had bought a TKAT brace, I wouldn't be having this problem...

Anyway this should all be sorted out by the time we have more than 2 days riding weather in a row.
