Does anyone know if the Parts and More gasket set (Part#18-0160) contain the exhaust gaskets?

    https://www.partsnmore.com/cat_index...ategory=engine

Also, does their Dual Disk Master Cylinder (Part#08-0264) sit flat on the bar like a standard or angled like the special for it's buckhorns? I would like to change the buckhorns out for a flatter bar.

Yup. It's a very complete kit. Georgefix sells them too. Probably get it fast from george, but it will cost a few bucks more. I don't know about the master cylinder.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

Tod always said that the XJ1100 gasket set is $12 cheaper and the only difference is the YICS holes that can be cut off and minus the middle drive gasket I think (38 pieces vs 39 pieces)... and we all know that Tod is cheap!

I have standard bars on my special with the stock angled master cylinder with no problems.

If you only need the exhaust gaskets, I bought them for $3 a piece from a local MC shop.

I've had several style of bars on an 81 Special with the stock master and no problems.

Thanks for the help I ordered brake pads (all around) and the gaskets from Parts and More. I also ordered Accel coils and some rear turn signal grommets. It is starting to look like my almost two year rebuilding process might be coming to a close! I cannot wait to go riding this summer

Montreux_Blue - I cannot tell from your pic, but does not the angled master cylinder make your mirror sit funny? I had that problem with my Honda Magna.

Not so much the mirror.. as it is the rider that sits funny..

Don't worry about Tod, he's just jealous that he was my size in 5th grade! Mirrors are fine, here are some different angles.

Who's jealous? It's just that MOST of us kept growing after that point.

And you're probably pretty close with that statement weight-wise. I remember I went over 100 pounds when I was in third grade.. so by 5th I actually probably WAS your size.

Would I need to replace my cables with shorter ones or will the stock ones work? My new bar has about a 1" rise and a slight pull back. I also have a flat bar with a slight pull back, but I think I like the slight rise better.

Montreux_Blue - Thanks for the pics! I never would have guessed the master cylinder could be reused after my problems with the Honda.
