xj1100 gears out what do you think

    thanks lol

    well there is a guy one hear who said he has a box with 78-79 xs
    gears and cclips and forks, for $120 and he said they will fit and that the earlyer xs had better gears, and he would pick me out the best ones whta do you think should i go that rout becuase 4th to 1st look bad and so does first?

      Early gears are no different than later gears.. same part numbers, same manufacturer. $120 for used gears is probably about 80-100 bucks more than I'd pay for a good set.

      I think you'll be fine for quite a while with what you've got and you can keep an eye out for another REASONABLY priced set.

        +1 on what you've already got and done so far.
