i did this yesterday, i dropped the floats down
to 23.3mm from stock with digital calipers, and readjusted the mixture screws.
    the bike runs much better
down low, it rides smoother at cruise, pulls hard and smoother at wot, and it got rid of a small vibration i had at 4500rpm at cruise. when i took it out for a ride i did a heavy brake stop, the idle did drop a little but nothing drastic.

i tried going leaner again 23.6 but the acceleration was flatter and i didnt notice any benefit.

id say try leaning out the float levels in small increments
    and see how it goes.
