Hey there Beech,
From what I've read and seen from the two Xj's that I've worked on the 2nd gear fix, as well as my own Xs, that the tranny parts appear to be the same, it was the head/jug configuration that was changed from the XS to the XJ with that YICS design, but I thought the lower engine/tranny stuff was unchanged!?!?
Hopefully some more knowledgable guru will chime in here!?

Transmission parts are the same. XJ oil pan is different, as the XJ has an additional oil level sensor built into the pan. Wire to sensor does not have a connection near the pan, so sensor must be removed to get the pan out of the way. Mine stuck, others report the sensor came out with no problems.
The XS pan may fit, but the oil level sensor circuit would have to be jumped or modified to keep the warning light off.
I wrote up a list of transmission parts, and Ken Talbot added it to his web page:

As far as I know these parts are the same for all XS/XJ 1100 models.Jerry Fields
