Air filters for XS11

Got a '79 XS11, and when I bought an air filter from my local shop last, they sold me one of those UNI foam-type filters.

Well, the cotter pin got twisted in with the filter when I tried to get it off, and it took me over an hour to finally get the damn air box back off my bike.

So, I'm looking for an OEM-style filter... I'm guessing these are highly priced at the dealer, so wanted to get any recommendations on a good place to buy these (didn't see anything in the archives).

K&N makes an OEM style filter and Partsnmore.com carries a paper oem style element. You can get K&N pretty much everywhere, including Dennis Kirk

Speaking of OEM style filters,

I was strolling along the aisles at Walmart the other day, looking for some edger nylon string, and saw some lawn mower accessories, and to my surprise, they had some nifty looking air filters that looked surprisingly similar to the XS's, or at least the XJ's. I should have written down the model #'s, but didn't. I don't have my OEM box so I can't check them out, have Indy filters, but just wanted to mention this to others to see if anybody might want to look into them for possible substitutes for theirs!?!?

I've got hte K&N stock style filter, seems to work just fine for me
