front master cylinder assembly

Are the master cylinder assemblies on the 79 and 80 the same I have a 79 SF and I need a new cap and lever there is a whole assembly on ebay here for sale and I was wondering if it will fit.

79 XS1100 Special
Kerker 4-1, Pods, BS34 old style carbs, plastic floats, 147.5 mains, progressive rear suspension (restoring)

Same-same.....will work fine, plus you have an extra master cyl. you can take apart and carefully clean and re-assemble at your convenience for an extra if needed.
