Most likely cause is fuel. 3&4 get fed from your right petcock (typically). On the 78 model you have vacuum operated petcocks, so if the vacuum diaphram is messed up it might not feed fuel. Try turning that patcock to prime and see if it clears up.
Also look for kinks in the fuel line. Otherwise, you could have a clogged petcock or something liek that, but it is alot less likely.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Or at least try adjusting the mix screw to no 4. Or replace/clean the plug in no 4.
Might also look into cleaning the carbs up then. Once it is down to one cylinder, it is usually a carb issue.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
