  • The Noise?

Can I ask the wiser people than am what is the noise comming form this area?

After the scoot warms up, it gets a little louder, this area gets a little warm, sounds kinda like something spinning and rubbing. Like rubbing your hands together in a circular motoin. Not a grinding sound but a smooth sound. It has been like this since I have owned this bike, for about 3500km. Is that normal or do I have some big problems? I check the oil before each time I ride. Dosen't smoke, lots of power, took it out for a 300 km road trip today and it was great, highest speed today was at 180kmph and drove most the way at 140kmph.

That is the charging system behind the cover. there is NO OIL behind it, but if you have a problem with the crank, or a bad bearing, it may cause a problem. I would pull the cover, and look for any indication of rubbing between the rotor and the stator, that will be bolted to the cover. You do NOT remove the three allen head bolts on the cover, just the ones holding the cover to the engine case.
DO NOT START OR RUN THE ENGINE WITHOUT THE COVER!!!!
You will have a plug shoot out, followed buy a LOT of engine oil.
