  • muffler ding

    Any tech tips or solutions out there for repairing muffler dents? Got this palm sized scrape dent that goes in about half inch depth.
    Any one had a similar situation? this is a standard megaphone muffler and the dent is at the end of the megaphone.

    Take it apart, use an appropriate diameter pipe to REPLACE INTO the muffler over the dent, allign the muffler nicely and whack it with a RUBBER mallot till it's nice and smooth. Thats how mine were made from a piece of metal sheet. See pictures in mufflers and baffsomething. Use the search tab in the upper right corner of the screen.

      I'm going to try the Harley pipes cut/clamp trick on my trashed mufflers.....
