Hi all.
I realize this may be a silly question. But the fact is, at this point, I am stumped.
I have obtained a center stand for my 1979(ish) XS1100 and it is now mounted. It fits perfectly, by the way.
However, I am unable to stretch the spring from the mount "eye" to the spring post on the bike. It only has to stretch about 1/2 inch but I cannot get it to budge!!
So far I have just used channel locks. Big tool, good grip on long handles... no luck though.
Is there a special technique to this? A special tool, perhaps?
I'm not a very big guy so I can't use my weight for leverage at all.
Thanks in advance.
