  • fork help!

I'm under the impression that the forks (inner fork tube) is 37mm. is that correct and are all the XS's the same? I have air forks on my 78' XS11E and I'm trying to make sense of this, did someone simply put air caps on my original forks or did they swap out everything for a later year, I'm considering clip-ons. Any info will help, I'm new to this. Thanks!

All XS11's use 37mm tubes, but the Standards and Specials are different. Someone could have put air caps on, or they could have been swapped for the 80-81 model air forks. The Special tubes are longer than the Standards, but unfortunately they are not interchangable due to a different slider bushing setup. You can slide your existing tubes up in the triple trees to add clip-ons, but you'll lose some ground clearance. Longer tubes are available in whatever size you want, gonna cost you a few $'s though.
