float pins and needle valves that is (sometimes spoken interchangably, but two different things obviously).

Again good luck, and ride safe!

That's what I thought- just wanted someone smarter than me to agree. Sometimes you just get too wrapped up in something and the obvious goes by. Things are much warmer and fuzzier now. Hope at some point I can return all the help you guys are giving me. Thanks a bunch.

        pin?

For what it is worth, one of my float pins was headless and had a looser fit in the holder. Obviously it was a replacement for the correct pin, it was ninety five thousandths of an inch in diameter and about the right length. It fit perfectly, no effort to remove. Naturally, I ended up losing this pin, fell between the boards of my deck. Fortunately I had another pin available.

I don't know about any smarter, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I would venture to say that you most likely got all the pins back in, and if not your carbs will let you know soon enough, nothing to stay awake over.

If that was your float needle you can get them at mikesxs.net (he specializes in xs 650 parts but they were the same needles for my xj-the ones with the neopreme tips) or partsnmore.com for about $4-6 dollars apiece.

          Ride safe.

Sounds good to me. I just wanted to check at the department of redundancy department.

I had to order the idle screws too- looks like the end of the week before I get them. Will update. Thx
