    Could any of you guys give me a line on where to buy some aftermarket petcocks,;single fuel line? I thought I saw them somewhere at about 30 bucks a piece?

    Hi Boe,
    there's pingels but they are expensive.
    Betcha there's an early model XS650 tap that has the same bolt centres?
    Worth some research?

      Too bad you didnt look in the parts section or search for them. I had a set from Parts'N-More that I was willing to sell to member at a discount that fit the standard tank. I decided to do Psycho's petcock mod after I ordered them so I sent them back today.

        I've got the parsnmore variety on mine. Use a little teflon tape on all the fittings, and they work great. Requires some minor modification to the fuel tank to install - very slight dremel work. My brother tried to install the same kind of petcocks without dremeling the tank and tore the tower screens. He also didn't use the teflon tape and after chasing leaks for a while he RTVed the fittings, which worked. Teflon is easier though, and it will hold up to gas better.
        I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.
