First: apologies..haven't had time to work on bike this week (they frown on that at the apartments where I live). Here's the poop: Bike ran good last week. Friday PM, after being home about 2 hrs., went to ride, wouldn't start. Checked around, someone had yanked my vacuum hose to the vacuum advance off carbs. Put it back on, said to heck with it. Got up Sat. AM, bike started right off the bat, but I didn't go riding as I had other obligations. Mon. AM, rode to work...no problems. Rode home after work, started running funny after about 3 miles. Was that way all week...Ran fine to work, then after 3 miles on way home, lose power, sounds like someone slipped another engine beneath me. Took lotta throttle to coax her the next 1/4 mile home. It seemed as if it were either flooding or starving in one or two carbs, but I really couldn't tell.
I figger I gotta clean the carbs in case some gunk got in there, but......this afternoon when coming home, it started acting up again.....turned petcock to "prime" and that seemed to help some, but was very short distance home. Any ideas & suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Just a thought Bob, but I had a similar thing going on a couple of days ago. Had a feeling it was a fuel filter, and sure enough, it was. I got rid of that vaccum valve for the gas a while ago, now I rely on the floats to stop the flow. If you have that, I suppost there could be a problem there too. Just an idea, it could be other things.
