  • Tube tubless tire question.

    Sorry if this is redundant.

I have read through the threads and as I understand quite a few are running Tubeless tires on tube type rims using a tube.

Seems to be working out except If you get a fast leak tire can roll off the rim.
The way I under stand from the threads is: the tube type rim design would be prone to this situation.

My question is; if there is a difference Why are the part numbers for the front wheel all the same for the E's through H?
    I did not check further.

Some F's and G's and later are so pose to be Tubeless.

Also on the part fiche for the F's front wheel it shows a tube and the tire is said to be of the tubeless type.

    speaking of the rear.
What about the rim locks wouldn't they hold a tire on a rim?

    thanks again

The "F" was a split model year, early had tubes, later were tubeless.

Yes, the rim locks are on the rear to keep the tire from spinning on the rim and to keep the tube from twisting.

As for the same P/N on the front rims, they are the same rim. People have miked them and found no difference whatsoever, other than the markings on the rim "suitable for tubeless tires".
