  • Differences between XS and XJ?

I am sorry if this question has been answered 1000 times, but I searched the forum and couldn't find it...

What is the difference between the XS and XJ? Did the XS become the XJ in 82 or 83? Are they the same bike? Pros and cons? Thanks...

    Jason.

Here's a recent thread that just scrolled off the main page of threads...it's still on page 2 actually!

    http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27433

The search function doesn't allow searching for words that are less than 3 letters, so that's why you can't search for just "XJ".

A search for "Difference" and "MAXIM" or even just Difference will probably show many threads, but the XS vs. XJ threads will be there, and you can tell by the thread title!

The XS's evolved thru the years, 78 thru 81, then became the Xj in 82, continued in Canada and outside USA in 83, 84, but essentially unchanged from 82. There are various differences between the XJ and XS, if you'll look in the drop down menus on the top menu bar, the articles, you'll find ones about the XS11 and the XJ11 with good info as well!

Thanks for the replies. For the moderators of the forum/site, this would be a good one to add to the FAQs...
