  • Fixed all my problems with a thumb

When I bought my bike the gas gauge didn't work and the starter was a little intermitant. I read the thread in here about the starter button being wired through the engine stop switch and the switches sometimes going bad. While at my insurance agent I went out to start my bike to head home. Pushed the starter button and nothing. I flicked the stop switch off and back on and low and behold my gas guage starts working. Pushed the button and started the engine right up.
Thanks for the assist guys. You fixed my problem without even knowing it.

Get some silicon spray lube and give that switch a short blast. Do the other one too.
