POR15 Chassis paint

Hi everyone just a quick question has anyone brushed on POR15 Chassis Coat
on their frame? I read its self levelling and UV resistant and im looking for a quick way to freshen up my frame (working 2 jobs doesnt really give me enough time to totally strip her down )Any good results from this stuff?

Never tried it. Never heard of it.
Where did you find it?
Is it rattle can or 2 part brush-on?
Sounds like it might be interesting if it is 2-part.

thats the link to it , i know a couple people who swear by this stuff but they have tried it on 4x4 truck frames just wondered how it would look and work on a bike frame

I've tried it on a frame...follow the instructions to the letter!

I tried using it when the humidity was just a bit to high and it set way to quick to even out. Humidity will make it set up very quickly! I was able to sand it smooth and top coat it with another paint.

I have never used it on anything I ever wanted to look good, but it did seem to level out to a nice shiny finish. What I will say for its strength, is that it is so strong we used to put a piece of cellophane between the lid and the can to close it, otherwise you would never get the can open again.

If thier tank sealer is anything to go by i'd say the chassis paint should be a quality product. Never needed it myself but i have a friend who restores vintage bikes and he uses this stuff all the time http://www.por15.com/US-STANDARD-TAN...oductinfo/TSG/ and swears by it. I'll ask if he uses the chassis paint, but I think he powder coats everything.

I have some experience with these products. I used the black paint on my truck. It holds up well. As with anything else, it's all about the prep.

I used Glisten PC with success. This stuff works best when sprayed on. Same with the frame paint.
