    Thank you

    Thank you very much.

My bike is the 1981 XS1100SH, the carbs I gotta on ebay to replace the originals that are in terrible shape.

After posting the questions I went to take a look at the bike and saw the hose from the vac. adv. pot.

One problem I have is that, although my air case has the nipples to plug a hose from the air nipples in the carbs, it is sealed and because I just spent long hours
putting back the carbs etc, I will let the nipples in the carb breath from under the tank till I take the carbs out again.

I tested the fuel line and I believe it won't go through prime if the nipples don't breath.

I will check it latter today, now it is over 1:30 AM.

The bike has been over 10 years without running. Now everything is checked and I believe I will try it in less the 12hs. The electric is working, I checked it a week ago, after rebuilding it and without the carbs, just to see if the starter would run. It did.

After confirming the engine is running I will take it to be cleanned and aftwards - were I worked was cleaned, but there is a lot cleaning to do - I will change the tires, the oil again, front wheel, etc.. etc... etc...
problably it will be fine to ride in a couple weeks, full restoration will take a little longer, maybe by the end of this year.

    Thank you again.

If your carbs do not have the upper vent T then you don't need the nipples on the airbox.
